Chiropractic care for sports injuries

Not all

chiropractic care
is
created equal.

When it comes to sports injuries, you're not seeing a general practitioner who occasionally treats athletes. You're seeing Dr. Todd Narson — DACBSP®, ICSC — one of only a handful of board-certified chiropractic sports medicine specialists in the country.

Three Credentials That Matter

Specialty-level training,
not a weekend seminar.

These three credentials describe a small number of chiropractors in the world. Together, they

describe one in Miami-Dade County.

i.

1 of 413

in the United States

DACBSP®

Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians — the highest board certification available in chiropractic sports medicine. Earned through rigorous post-doctoral training, extensive field hours, and a comprehensive written & practical exam.

ii.

1 of 2

in Miami-Dade County

DACBSP® Practicing Locally

Only two Diplomates of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians practice in the entire county. You don't have to leave Miami Beach to see one — Dr. Narson has been here since 1990.

iii.

Only

one in South Florida

ICSD — FICS

International Chiropractic Sports Science Diploma from the Fédération Internationale de Chiropratique du Sport — the world governing body for chiropractic sports medicine. Dr. Narson is the only chiropractor in South Florida who holds it.

. . .

That's not a wall of credentials.
It's
a different level of care.

That's not a wall of credentials. It's a different level of care.

Dr. Narson has served as team chiropractor for Team USA Triathlon at the ITU World

Multisport Championships, worked on the sports medicine team at the U.S. Olympic &

Paralympic Rowing Trials, and treated athletes at the Pan American Games in

Guadalajara, Mexico.

He has worked with competitive athletes from over 50 countries across virtually every

sport. When he evaluates your knee, shoulder, or lower back, he's drawing on decades of on-

field, sideline, and clinical experience that most practitioners simply don't have.

We're committed to providing personalized, high-quality care that helps our patients thrive — for decades, not just a few visits.

Sport-Specific Diagnosis

A swimmer's shoulder
isn't a
runner's knee.

Sports injuries aren't generic — and shouldn't be treated that way. Each sport creates its own biomechanical signature. Dr. Narson is trained to evaluate how your body moves under the demands of your sport — and to identify the root cause, not just the symptom.

Swimming

Swimmer's shoulder.

Repetitive overhead stroke mechanics stress the rotator cuff and impingement zone. Often traces back to scapular control and thoracic mobility — not just the shoulder itself.

Root-Cause Focus

Scapular stability · thoracic mobility · stroke biomechanics

Running

Runner's IT band syndrome.

Lateral knee pain that flares during long runs. Rarely an IT band problem alone — usually hip abductor weakness, gait asymmetry, or foot-strike mechanics upstream.

Root-Cause Focus

Hip mechanics · gait pattern · foot strike

Cycling

Cyclist's low back pain.

Hours in hip flexion on a sustained angle. Lumbar fatigue points to core endurance, bike-fit issues, or limited hip mobility — all of which respond to targeted treatment.

Root-Cause Focus

Core endurance · hip mobility · bike fit

And of course — tennis elbow, pitcher's shoulder, jumper's knee, CrossFit wrist, triathlete's hip, tennis player's oblique, golfer's rib, surfer's lumbar. If the pattern exists, we've seen it.

The Treatment Toolkit

Every tool, used in combination.

Treatment at our Miami Beach office may include any of the following — all customized to get

you back to your sport as efficiently and safely as possible.

Most cases combine 3–5 of these per visit — what works depends on what the exam reveals, not

what's fashionable this year.

Who We ARE

Whether you're competing or just

refusing to sit on the sidelines.

It can sideline an athlete, steal energy from a parent, or turn simple tasks into daily struggles. That's why we care for everyone — from serious competitors to people who just want to enjoy a pain-free walk on the beach.

i.

The competitive triathlete

Training blocks, race calendar, a nagging hip flexor that's starting to cost you minutes.

ii.

The weekend tennis player

Doubles on Saturday mornings. An elbow that's outstayed its welcome and a shoulder you don't want to follow.

iii.

The CrossFit athlete

WODs, PRs, and a wrist or low back that's started reminding you it exists every time you snatch.

iv.

The refuses-to-sit type

Not a "competitor" by title — but you train, you move, and you'd rather be treated by a specialist than told to rest.
